A world-leading chemical company is seeking a Production Planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. In this job, you will monitor inventory levels, regularly provide production status updates to the management, and facilitate the timely delivery of products to customers.

About the Production Planner Role:
In this position, you should be knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules
• Estimate the amount of materials for production
• Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimise delays in production
• Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
• Effect changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
• Compile status and performance reports and submit them to the management in a timely manner
• Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules

To succeed in this Production Planner role, you will need strong communication to liaise with internal departments and to ensure that the production is compliance with all the safety regulations with strong knowledge in a chemical production environment.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred
• At least eight years of relevant experience in planning and procurement within the chemical industry
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Preferable with background SAP MRP system
• Driven, independent and ability to think out of the box
• Strong team player and challenge the production on deviation in plans
